Sigma 7 confronts you with a malfunctioning space station where rogue robots have taken over. To reach the central controls and restore order, you must overcome several very different stages, each with its own rules and demands. The opening section challenges you to survive a diagonally scrolling sequence filled with mine formations that must be avoided or destroyed before they return from unexpected angles. Once inside the station, the experience shifts to a maze-like area where you control a heavy vehicle, collect glowing energy nodes, fend off enemies and remember which elements cannot be collected in order to reach the exit in time. The appeal comes from the sharp shifts in gameplay, pattern memorization and constantly adapting your approach – varied, demanding and highly focused on concentration.
