Allemand Makai Prince Dorabocchan ist ein Plattformspiel, das stark an Konamis Kid Dracula angelehnt ist, angefangen bei der überraschend nahen Gestaltung des Helden. Es geht darum, sechs Level zu durchqueren, die natürlich mit dem Kampf gegen einen Boss abgeschlossen werden, und in den meisten Fällen gibt es auch einen Zwischenboss. Anglais Makai Prince Dorabocchan ("Demon Prince Dorabo") is a 2D platformer for the PC Engine. The player controls the titular character who is on a quest to rescue his master and defeat the evil demons that have invaded the kingdom.

As well as his own magical powers, he can be upgraded by finding suits of armor which boost his abilities as well as temporary power-ups that provide double-jumping, a syringe weapon that stuns enemies and cleats that allow him to jump on enemies to defeat them. If he finds a bat with a bell, he can summon his burly Moai guardians who use their stone bodies to create bridges that allow Dorabo to move forward or find secret areas.

Además de sus propios poderes mágicos, puede ser mejorado encontrando armaduras que aumentan sus habilidades, así como potenciadores temporales que brindan doble salto, un arma de jeringa que aturde a los enemigos y tacos que le permiten saltar sobre ellos para derrotarlos. Si encuentra un murciélago con una campana, puede convocar a sus fornidos guardianes Moai que usan sus cuerpos de piedra para crear puentes que permiten a Dorabo avanzar o encontrar áreas secretas.

Français Makai Prince Dorabocchan est un jeu de plates-formes qui emprunte énormément au Kid Dracula de Konami, à commencer par le design étonnamment proche du héros. Il s'agira de traverser six niveaux, conclus bien évidemment par le combat contre un boss, et proposant également un boss de mi-parcours la plupart du temps. C'est au travers d'une forêt, d'une ville, d'un désert ou encore d'une caverne que vous exterminerez à tour de bras les ennemis qui se présentent à vous, à commencer par les chauve-souris.
