Allemand "Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack" ist ein kompetitives Kampfspiel aus dem Hause Capcom welches als Münzen-basierendes Arcade Game im Jahr 1997 veröffentlicht wurde. Es gilt als ein Verbessertes "Street Fighter III: New Generation". Wie sein Vorgänger läuft es auf der CP System III Hardware. Mit "2nd Impact" wurden neue Spielmechaniken, neue Charaktere und neue Special Moves eingeführt. Auch die Bonus Runden wurden zurückgebracht die, innerhalb der Serie, zuletzt bei "Super Street Fighter II" zu sehen waren. Zudem ist es der einzige CPS3 Titel mit einem Widescreen Feature.

Joining the existing Street Fighter III cast are Hugo, Urien and recurring character Akuma (Gouki in the Japanese version). Français Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact - Giant Attack reprend les bases posées par Street Fighter III: New Generation. Yun et Yang du premier jeu sont devenus deux personnages différents jouables, Yang a reçu une nouvelle palette de mouvements disposant de coups spéciaux et des supers qui le distinguent de Yun. Akuma revient en tant que personnage caché et le jeu ajoute notamment une version plus rapide du personnage contrôlée par l'ordinateur, nommée Shin Akuma apparaissant dans le mode solo.

O jogo roda na placa CP System III de arcade e foi desenvolvido a partir do Street Fighter III original, com algumas mudanças, correções e adaptações. Praticamente todo o elenco do jogo original foi mantido para o desenvolvimento desse Street Fighter, que teve depois a única conversão para consoles caseiros dentro da coletânea: ?Street Fighter III Double Impact?, para Sega Dreamcast, que continha os dois primeiros jogos da série Street Fighter III.
