If you're fond of good stories with strong dialogues (especially about growing up), you're a fight games enthusiast (you'll get your hands on some unique brawl mechanic) and you're into some yakuza-delinquent aesthetics, you should play "The friends of Ringo Ishikawa".

"The friends of Ringo Ishikawa" is an existential open world beat'em up with some school sim elements. It has a little of everything: a town to explore, day-night cycle, npc on their schedule, battle grinding, school grinding, mini-games (ping-pong, billiard, video-poker, video-game console with one game...) and so on.

But the main thing is the story that Yeo is trying to tell. Yeo designed the game to make you feel this story. So it's not about rival gangs, or taking over turfs, or anything. You just live there and feel. And that's all.

Français "The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa" est un beat'em all existentiel dans un open-world, avec quelques éléments de simulateur de vie. Vous y trouverez un peu de tout. Une ville à explorer avec un cycle jour-nuit, des PNJs vivants leurs vies au jour le jour, de la baston, des statistiques à augmenter, des mini-games (ping-pong, billard, poker-vidéo, jeux vidéo,...) etc.
Mais le plus important reste cette histoire que je veux vous raconter. J'ai construit tout le jeu autour d'elle. Il ne s'agit pas de gangs rivaux se battant pour conquérir un territoire. Il s'agit d'un jeu que vous vivez et que vous ressentez. Ni plus, ni moins.
