Allemand Dieser Titel ist eine Portierung einer wichtigen Version der Resident Evil-Serie, die einst nur für die Dreamcast-Konsole erhältlich war. Die PlayStation 2-Version von Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica X ähnelt der ursprünglichen Dreamcast-Version in fast allen relevanten Punkten, obwohl sie zusätzliche Zwischensequenzen enthält.

Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica X setzt dort an, wo Resident Evil 2 für die PlayStation aufhörte, nämlich in Raccoon City. Dort führte die Umbrella Corporation wissenschaftliche Experimente durch, die schief gingen. Das Ergebnis dieser Experimente war ein Virus, der zur Erschaffung einer riesigen Anzahl von Zombies und einer Vielzahl anderer Kreaturen führte, die auf dem Weg des Todes und der Zerstörung sind. Als Mitglieder der S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) taten die Spieler ihr Bestes, um den Wahnsinn der Umbrella Corp. zu stoppen, aber letztendlich wurden Raccoon City und alle seine Bewohner ausgelöscht.

Anglais This title is a port of an important release in the Resident Evil series which was once available only for the Dreamcast console. The PlayStation 2 version of Resident Evil -- CODE: Veronica X is similar to the original Dreamcast release in nearly every relevant way though it contains additional cut-scenes.
Resident Evil -- CODE: Veronica X picks up where the PlayStation's Resident Evil 2 left off, in Raccoon City. There, the Umbrella Corporation performed scientific experiments that went wrong. The result of their experiments was a virus that led to the creation of a huge number of zombies as well as a variety of other creatures bent on a path of death and destruction. As members of S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad), players did the best they could to stop the Umbrella Corp.'s madness, but ultimately Raccoon City and all of its inhabitants were wiped out.

Espagnol En esta entrega nos encontramos en una misteriosa isla infestada de zombis, nuestro propósito no es otro que sobrevivir. Controlamos en un primer momento a Claire Redfield, protagonista de la segunda entrega de la saga, quien es capturada y llevada a esta isla en medio de la nada. Pronto descubriremos que la isla esta plagada de zombis y criaturas surgidas de los laboratorios de la misteriosa multinacional "Umbrella". A partir de aquí nos encontramos de lleno en el horror mismo, huyendo, disparando, resolviendo puzzles de dificultad ascendente, investigando y luchando con los jefes. Claire será ayudada por un nuevo personaje llamado Steve y por Chris Redfield, otro viejo conocido.

Como membros da equipe S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad), os jogadores fizeram tudo o que podiam para conter a loucura da Umbrella, mas, no fim, Raccoon City e todos os seus habitantes foram completamente aniquilados.
