Allemand In diesem einzigartigen Spiel übernimmt der Spieler die Rolle eines Raumfahreres names Captain Olimar, der auf einem ungewöhnlichen Planeten notlanden musste. Das Ziel des Spiels besteht darin, Olimar bei der Suche nach den Teilen seines Raumschiffs zu helfen, die über den ganzen Planeten verstreut sind. Jedoch besteht die Atmosphäre des Planeten aus giftigen Gasen und Olimars Raumanzug besitzt lediglich Luft für 30 Tage. Zum Glück, für Captain Olimar, ist der Planet von seltsamen kleinen Wesen bewohnt, den Pikmin. Je nach Farbe besitzen sie zudem besondere Eigenschaften welche taktisch genutzt werden müssen.

Durch die neue Steuerung wurde besonders das Befehligen der Pikmin verbessert, was auch bei unerfahrenen Spielern für schnellere und motivierende Erfolgserlebnisse sorgen wird.

Anglais Captain Olimar has crash-landed on an alien world, and he soon encounters strange creatures called Pikmin. These Pikmin are found in three different colors. Understanding the special abilities of each type of Pikmin is Olimar's first step in collecting his spaceship parts and escaping the planet.

Pikmin are mysterious life-forms Olimar meets on his adventure. For some reason, they seem eager to help him. Pikmin are very intelligent - they can be thrown, ordered to carry objects, fight dangerous predators, and even use their own judgement to carry out various other tasks.

Espagnol Definido como una "simulación ingeniosa de la vida", Pikmin es un juego de acción y estrategia en el que aparecen impresionantes entornos realistas. Los jugadores controlan a un astronauta llamado capitán Olimar que ha chocado con su nave en un planeta poco común. El objetivo del juego consiste en ayudar a Olimar a reunir las piezas perdidas de su nave que han quedado esparcidas por todo el planeta. Por suerte para el capitán Olimar, el planeta está habitado por extrañas criaturitas llamadas Pikmin. Los Pikmin son formas de vida similares a las plantas, de tres colores: rojo, amarillo y azul. Cada tipo de Pikmin tiene un punto fuerte distinto que Olimar debe aprovechar. Los Pikmin rojos soportan el fuego, los azules pueden sobrevivir en el agua y los amarillos destruyen obstáculos con rocas bomba. El jugador puede controlar a los brotes Pikmin de forma individual, en grupos o formando una figura Pikmin grande compuesta por 100 criaturas.
