Anglais Arena is a unique twist on the fixed shooter genre. You command four mobile laser cannons positioned along the outer edge of a squared arena, scoring points by destroying enemies attempting to escape. Movement is controlled by rotating clockwise or counterclockwise around the arena.

Your laser power is tied to an energy source at the center: the closer your guns are to it, the longer and stronger your laser fire; the farther away, the weaker your shots become. However, this core also leaks small fuel cells—if struck by your laser, they trigger an explosion that costs you one set of ships.

You start with five ship sets and earn an extra one every 500 points. The arena features eight enemy types, each progressively more challenging. As difficulty increases, so do the rewards—starting at 50 points per enemy, with each new wave increasing the value by 10 points.
