Allemand 1911: Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika werden vom Aufkommen neuer Technologien eingelullt. Ihr Auftauchen hat den Zorn vieler Banden erregt, die die Zivilisation ablehnen und für den Erhalt des Wilden Westens kämpfen.
John Marston ist ein ehemaliger Outlaw und auf der Suche nach einem neuen, ruhigen Leben in Nordamerika, wo er für sich und seine Familie die Ranch Beecher's Hope gekauft hat. Vor einigen Jahren hatte er beschlossen, seine schwere Vergangenheit hinter sich zu lassen, nachdem er von seiner alten Bande, der von Dutch van der Linde, zum Sterben zurückgelassen worden war.
Als der Blackwater-Agent Edgar Ross vom Federal Bureau seine Familie als Geisel nimmt, um ihn zu zwingen, seine ehemaligen Waffenbrüder zu finden und auszuliefern, hat er keine andere Wahl als zuzustimmen und muss von nun an für die Regierung arbeiten. Wie alle GTA-ähnlichen Spiele bietet das Spiel dem Spieler völlige Handlungsfreiheit im weiten, wilden Westen.

John Marston is a former outlaw looking for a quiet new life in North America, where he has bought a ranch, Beecher's Hope, for himself and his family. A few years earlier, he had decided to put his dark past behind him after being left for dead by his former gang, Dutch van der Linde's.
When Blackwater Federal Bureau Agent Edgar Ross takes his family hostage to force him to find and hand over his former brothers in arms, he has no choice but to accept, and must now work for the government. Like all GTA-like games, the game offers players complete freedom of action in the vast, untamed West.

Juegas como John Marston, un forajido obligado a cazar a sus antiguos "hermanos" que lo dejaron por muerto. John puede cazar cualquier especie animal en el oeste americano y debe completar una serie de misiones para recuperar su independencia.

Comme tout GTA-like, le jeu offre une totale liberté d'action au joueur dans le vaste Ouest sauvage.

Come tutti i giochi simili a GTA, il gioco offre ai giocatori una completa libertà d'azione nel vasto e selvaggio West.
