Allemand New Orleans, Louisiana, 1893. Ein Junge namens Rizing erkundet mit einigen Freunden die Gegend um seine Heimatstadt. Sie entdecken ein geheimnisvolles altes Haus, gehen hinein und entdecken etwas, das wie eine Mumie in einem Sarg aussieht. Sie sind sich nicht bewusst, dass sie in diesem Moment einen mächtigen Dämon in die Welt entlassen haben und dass dieser Dämon bereits die Seele eines der Jungen besessen hat ...
Das Gameplay folgt weitgehend dem allgemeinen Muster japanischer RPGs. Wie in früheren Spielen müssen Zaubersprüche gesucht und erworben werden, anstatt sie zu lernen oder zu kaufen. Eine bemerkenswerte Änderung ist das Fehlen von zufälligen Gegnern. Zu den weiteren Neuerungen im Spiel gehören Spezialangriffe, die auch von mehreren Gruppenmitgliedern als Kombo ausgeführt werden können, und das Verdienen von Geld durch den Verkauf von Trophäen, die man in Kämpfen erhält.

Anglais New Orleans, Louisiana, 1893. A boy named Rizing is exploring the surroundings of his hometown together with a couple of friends. They discover a mysterious old house, go inside, and discover what seems to be a mummy in a coffin. They don't realize that at this moment they unleashed a powerful demon into the world, and that this demon has already possessed the soul of one of the boys...
The gameplay largely follows the general Japanese RPG template and Tengai Makyō gameplay style in particular. As in the previous games, magic spells have to be sought out and acquired rather than learned or bought. A notable change is the absence of random enemies - all the enemies are visibly wandering on the world map or in the dungeons. Other gameplay additions include special attacks that can also performed by several members of the party as a combo, and obtaining money by selling trophies received in battles.

Le gameplay suit largement le modèle général des RPG japonais. Comme dans les jeux précédents, les sorts doivent être recherchés et acquis plutôt qu'appris ou achetés. Un changement notable est l'absence d'ennemis aléatoires. Parmi les autres nouveautés du jeu, citons les attaques spéciales qui peuvent également être exécutées par plusieurs membres du groupe sous forme de combo, et l'obtention d'argent en vendant les trophées reçus lors des batailles.
