Allemand The Lion King ist ein seitlich scrollendes Plattformspiel, in dem der Spieler den Protagonisten Simba durch die Ereignisse des Films steuert, wobei er im Laufe des Spiels sowohl die Gestalt eines Kindes als auch die eines Erwachsenen annimmt. In der ersten Hälfte des Spiels steuert der Spieler Simba als Jungtier, der Feinde vor allem dadurch besiegt, indem er auf sie springt. Simbas Brüllen verbraucht eine wieder auffüllbare Anzeige und kann dazu verwendet werden, Gegner zu betäuben oder Rätsel zu lösen. In der zweiten Hälfte des Spiels wird Simba erwachsen und erhält Zugang zu verschiedenen Kampfbewegungen wie Kratzen, Zerfleischen und Werfen. In beiden Formen verliert Simba ein Leben, wenn er keine Lebenspunkte mehr hat oder auf ein sofort tödliches Hindernis trifft, wie z. B. eine bodenlose Grube oder einen rollenden Felsbrocken.

El joven Simba, solo puede luchar contra diversos animales, como lagartos, saltando sobre ellos. También puede rugir para asustar a algunas criaturas en la sumisión, aunque cada vez que ruge, usted tiene que esperar a que el "medidor de ruido" se cargue.

Français Le Roi Lion est l'adaptation sur NES du film de Disney sorti en 1994. Vous parcourez la savane avec Simba, de son plus jeune âge jusqu'à son retour dans la tribu des lions à l'âge adulte. Tous les personnages et passages du film sont présents, de même que les musiques qui permettent aux nostalgiques de plonger pleinement dans l'univers d'un des classiques de Disney.
